Holistic Coaching
What is it?
Holistic coaching is great for making genuine and lasting change in life. Together we’ll look at what is and isn’t working for you, help you to identify clear goals and pursue them successfully. We can talk about any challenges or confusing situations you’re dealing with and find opportunities for your personal growth.
It is a lot like life coaching, but it includes spirituality (without a specific religion or agenda). By looking at you as a whole being: emotional, physical, mental and spiritual, it can help bring all aspects of your being to your coaching work, making it that much more powerful.
Why take a holistic view?
Although it may seem very broad, taking a view that considers your whole self can be very powerful because it brings all of you to the conversation. This creates deeper and more lasting change because it is integrated across your whole self.
We will also look through the lens of who you are as an individual. Because, while it might seem sensible to make decisions that look good on paper, holistic coaching can support you in making genuine decisions for your unique personality. These changes are much more likely to stick.
Why might you be the right coach for me?
I have a very varied background and understand the different aspects of people as complex beings. I have worked with clients physically, energetically and holistically with a variety of different modalities for over 20 years, learning a lot about how people work and what we need to be happy.
Is coaching the same as therapy?
Coaching is very different to therapy, so if you mainly need to work on issues from your past, or you are suffering from a mental health disorder, you need to talk to your doctor or a licensed psychiatrist or therapist instead. If you get the go-ahead from them to pursue coaching, we may still be able to work together, but it is important you know I am not a mental health professional and my work cannot replace that care.
How does coaching with you work?
We will have a free 20 minute chat to make sure coaching is right for you. If we both agree it is, we’ll schedule your first session and agree on a plan going forward. Sessions are on zoom and 50 minutes long.
We discussed boundaries and how to protect myself on the return to work and also I now understand more about defense mechanisms and I can recognise them better in others. The sessions were open, honest, holistic and productive.
